where??!

romanisation

Wikipedia explains the romanisation system for the Korean Language. It is the introduction of this new system that is responsible for the confusing array of translations of Korean place names: for example Gyeryong/Kyeryong.

kyeryong si

the official site for the city we live in
On the map we are in the 'Umsa Area' (aka Eomsa/Omsa Ri)

kyeryongsan

information about Kyeryong mountain (san means mountain) and it's associated National Park

nonsan si

the official site for the city we work in. Until recently the carious parts that make up Kyeryong were parts of Nonsan so some of Kyeryong appears in this map! For example: Dugye station and Duma Myeon are actually parts of Kyeryong. Omsa Ri (where we live) is in Duma Myeon.

chungcheongnam do

a map of the province showing Kyeryong Si and Nonsan Si as well as the position of the province on the peninsula. The avacado coloured blob with no name is Daejeon Metropolitan City; it is the capital of the province so is it's own administrative district and does not come under provincial government.

south korea

a map of the South Korea showing the provinces and main cities. You can track our location by finding Daejeon which we are very close to. Nam means south (and do means province) so Chungchongnam-do here appears as South Chungcheong.
